Clayviss is a faith-based parental screen-time app for iPhone and iPad. Your child reads scripture aloud to earn the screen time you allow — turning daily reading into the key that unlocks the apps they love.

“Read a little. Unlock a lot. Give back a quarter.”The Clayviss promise
Every parent feels the pull — the endless scroll, the glowing screen, the worry that the things you value most are getting crowded out. You don't want to take the phone away. You want it to lead somewhere good.
A simple daily loop your child does on their own device.
A short passage of scripture appears. They read it out loud — the phone listens privately, right on the device.
A good read unlocks the apps you chose, for the time you decided. When it's up, they read again.
You pick which apps lock, how much time each reading earns, and how much they read. Your child can't just turn it off.
Flip one toggle and Clayviss locks the apps on your phone the same way it locks your child's. Read the passage aloud to get back in — the same reading, and your child sees you do it. Your parent passcode opens it too, any time you need it. The reading is a choice you're making, not a trap you're in.
Clayviss turns daily reading into the doorway to the things your child already loves. No nagging, no power struggles — just a steady habit of time in scripture, woven into ordinary screen time. Faith becomes the reward, not the chore.
Lock specific apps during school, dinner, or bedtime — and choose exactly how much time each reading unlocks.
Gentle passages for younger kids or the full text for older ones. You set what's right for your child.
A patient, private match works for kids with accents or hard words — and a parent override means no one gets stuck.
Pick your tradition — each version reads from your own scripture and gives back to your own community.

Yes. Every plan covers a number of devices, not a number of children — if your kids share one iPad, that's one device on your plan. Whoever picks it up reads the passage to unlock it.
Yes. The reading is matched privately on the device — your child's audio is not sent off to a server.
No. Clayviss is set up through Apple Family Sharing, so your child can't simply delete it or sign out to get around the lock.
First — set yourself up (do this once, on your own phone): Set up Clayviss on your own phone (your main device) and create your family plan. That gives you a Family Link Code — you'll need it for every device you add.
Then — set up each device (repeat these steps for every child's device):
1. Download Clayviss and open it.
2. On the Before you begin screen, enter your email, confirm you're the parent or guardian, agree to the Privacy Policy, then tap Agree & Continue.
3. On Choose your plan, tap a plan to continue — your child's device never charges on its own; it's covered by your plan.
4. On the Family Plan screen, tap Add to a family plan.
5. Name the device (for example, Emma's iPad).
6. Enter the Family Link Code from your main device, then tap Request to join.
7. Your child's device shows Waiting for parent approval. On your main device, open your family dashboard and tap Approve next to the device that wants to join.
8. Back on your child's device, tap Parent Setup, grant Screen Time permission, then choose the apps to lock, the reading, and how much time each reading earns. Tap Done.
That's it. Your child's device is set up through Apple Family Sharing behind your passcode, so your child can't just turn it off.
